The client

A global community for remote workers, entrepreneurs, and creatives who took work and life beyond traditional borders. Swapps partnered with them to build the digital home for that community.

The challenge

  • Value was spread across disconnected tools: payments in one place, schedules in another, documents and conversations elsewhere.
  • Members and hosts needed a single space where community, content, and logistics came together.
  • Paying for a retreat or membership had to unlock the right access automatically, with no manual administration.

The solution

  • Custom Django platform to manage members and their access to every experience.
  • Three offering types (retreats, programs, memberships), each with its own space and content feed.
  • Stripe subscriptions granted and revoked access based on real-time payment status.
  • Content feeds (assignments, recordings, live sessions, office hours, announcements) with member comments.
  • Each product connected to its Google Calendar, shared Google Docs, and Slack channel.
  • Rich member profiles (location, time zone, "gifts" & "wishes") and a member directory.
