Pycon Colombia is the first meeting that welcomes all users of the Python programming language in this country. This conference is organized to incorporate and connect to the community members of multiple sectors that apply this language, such as academia, industry, government, among others.
In recent years the number of developers and companies that work with Python in Colombia has been increasing, and proof of this is the emergence of various communities in different cities such as Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and Barranquilla. Among them are: Python Bogotá, Django Bogotá, Django Cali, Python/Django Medellín, Python Ladies Medellín, Python Pasto, Django Santa Marta, Python Barranquilla
Thanks to the efforts of several of these communities around the country, a Pycon has been brought to Colombia for the first time, an event that has been developed since 2003 in the United States and now takes place in more than 35 countries.
Pycon, comes from english (Python Conference), and is basically a convention that is held annually in order to discuss and promote the Python programming language. The topics are varied, but range from the use of the language in desktop applications, web development frameworks to the use of the language in scientific applications.

We will also have 34 Colombian and Latin American speakers. There is a wide range of talks in different areas that cover geo-spatial development, artificial intelligence, performance, machine learning, DevOps, data science, web, among others.
The meeting place of this conference corresponds to the Doctor Angélico building of the Santo Tomás University located in carrera 9 #72-90, in Bogotá.
