The challenge
Ensure the optimal functioning of the Exchange Network website through ongoing technical support and regular updates. Key challenges included:
- Ensuring the website can handle high traffic efficiently without downtime
- Maintaining fast load times for dynamic and static content
- Providing robust security against threats like DDoS attacks
- Guaranteeing scalability to support future growth and increasing content
- Managing reliability and ease of use for content publishing (news, documentation, resources)
The solution
The project focuses on maintaining the Exchange Network website. Technical support and regular updates ensure that the website functions correctly, which is essential for maintaining the quality and efficiency of the services offered.
- Built the site on WordPress CMS, allowing flexibility, extensibility, and ease of content management
- Optimized database performance using MariaDB with MySQLi extension and caching
- Deployed on a Linux-based cPanel hosting server with LiteSpeed web server to improve efficiency
- Leveraged Cloudflare CDN and security features for faster content delivery and DDoS protection
- Implemented smart caching (LiteSpeed Cache + Cloudflare) to balance between serving dynamic and static content efficiently
- Established security layers and automated backups via hosting controls (cPanel + Cloudflare)
